The Classic Budget Switch

By no means the best switch on the market, Gateron KS-8s have always been one of the best values on the market. Much smoother than Cherry, I have seen these sold for as low as $0.20 a switch.

An excellent switch for the price

This switch is an amazing option for a budget linear switch. When lubed and filmed, it feels significantly smoother and produces a nice deep sound. The springs absolutely need some form of lube as there is a lot of ping, and I would recommend lubing the switch housings as it is quite scratchy, but for a budget switch if you don't care about smoothness they're fine stock aside from the springs.

Finally, some good f@cking food

The product arrived without any physical damage or cosmetic imperfections. Coming from Gateron Clears (old version). This is probably the best switch I have ever used to this moment. No more stupid misclicks from light spring, no more sound signature like somebody farts silently. Use it on slightly modified Varmilo VB87M (two layers of sponge Neoprene inside case, between PCB and plate, masking tape mod and DIY gasket mount with Neoprene on the bottom part of the case) and it sounds almost like PE foam mod/Jelly Epoch, but with deep thock. The switches are lubed and filmed. As a first properly modified mechanical keyboard, it sounds fantastic with these switches and I'll probably stick around with Gateron Yellow variation of switches before I get accustomed to bigger weight like 63 or 68 grams.

4 Stars but as expected

They aren't 5 star switches, but I wanted some cheaper alts to put into my cheaper boards. If you're looking for 5 star stuff, get something premium.

Basic Switches

I don't personally use these much, but for a cheap universal switch these do just fine. I bought these to build some basic keyboards for people who really don't care about their switch selection. I wouldn't recommend these for an enthusiast or for an expensive build unless you have a hotswap PCB so you can replace them once you can afford a more premium switch, but these will do just fine in a pinch. I would definitely recommend lubing and filming.
