Although I already have the Kuhn Rikon Chop Chop, which has three blades and the same bowl capacity, I'm considering getting this chopper because it has the mixing paddle and the salad spinning bowl. The latter strikes me as very handy for leaf herbs and greens that are a pain to dry properly. I like the Chop Chop because it makes short work of chopping celery, scallions, and eggs for egg salad, among other tasks, and would expect this to perform as well.
RayFSometimes it can be hard to get an exact usage with a motor. Here you can go slower or on y part-way without chopping too much.
There are plenty of food processors that run on electricity if you want.
Drizzt321I’ll take one of each (electric an manual), and I want a glass bowl/container on this type. Saw one at Williams Sonoma the other day—I’m going back for it.
Anyone have experience with this or similar? I had a hand crank chopper before, but the gears were made of plastic and broke when I was lazy and put too large a section of onion in there. So my main two questions would be, what are the gears made of, and how sturdy or easy to replace is the rip cord?
