I have a ceramic plate grinder I use all the time for garlic and ginger. Very excited to have another, that comes with a mortar and pestle!

hitchbroI recently bought a ceramic plate grinder. I used it once and hated it because the ginger gets stuck in the grooves and it's hard to actually get the ginger. Do you think I am doing something wrong?

mrxtravisStay near the edges of the inner circle, get a stiff-bristled brush to push the fiber out of the spikes. I just do more ginger than I need and throw away the stuff I brush out, as what gets stuck in the teeth is a lot of fiber and what falls to the side is just the good bits.

mrxtravisPut a piece of plastic wrap over it before grinding. When done, lift up and all of the ginger comes up with it
