Over 1400 votes for the C920, multiple polls with multiple votes for the C930e, yet we have a drop for this lackluster option. Thanks for making the effort, MD, but can we get a drop for the wide angle HD webcam we actually want?

TomaCzarBecause you can't always get what you want? Just because you want a discount on a top of the line brand name product, does not mean MassDrop can negotiate it or the manufacturer even cares to give it? You are more likely to get smaller companies trying to get their name out there or 2nd/3rd tier items in product line ups because those get less attention (consumer or marketing)? At least that's my opinion and I may be dead wrong :)
Plus just because 1,400 people voted does not mean 1,400 will actually buy. I would be curious to see MD data on correlation between those two facts.

LxJLthrI'm not entitled to what I want, I got it.
What's more important is the purpose of this website. People vote, MD negotiates, the community gets a discount, MD gets a cut, the manufacturer moves a bunch of product. Wins throughout.
However, put junk up on the site, ignore the polls (i.e. the community), and low drop participation ruins MD reputation with manufacturers. Nobody wins (my opinion).
Furthermore, I can't remember any drop hitting 1400 participants, I doubt participation needs to be that high for MD to be successful.
Maybe my previous post was out of line, maybe not. Either way, MD's going to do what it thinks is best. I'm just using the platform provided to voice my opinion.

TomaCzarJust a side note, the iFixit tool set was limited to 2000 and sold out and I think the headphone thing they did a while back was up around 4 or 5000.

MouseskowitzFair enough, those drops went over 1400, however what participation level was the lowest drop point? I would guess that they were successful prior to reaching the 2000 or the (4/5)000 participants, but that would just be a guess.
