The cleaver is a specialized and effective knife—it shouldn’t be confined to the kitchen alone. Expanding its horizons, Gerber created the Asada: a frame-lock cleaver knife engineered for everyday carry. Available in either 7CR or D2 steel, the compact cleaver blade is shaped for chopping, crushing, and other quick cutting tasks. Fit into an ergonomic handle made of anodized aluminum or Micarta, the blade deploys with a finger flipper equipped with Gerber’s stainless steel ball bearing system (B.O.S.S.). Rounding out the design, a sturdy frame lock with a patented anti-pinch plate helps ensure safety and consistent performance.
