Nice chunky knife. Good surface finish.
Very chunky blade makes the knife feel durable but probably not great for fine cuts. Have used it mainly around the house and the edge has held up fine. Surface finish is matte and helps grip the handle. Not sure how well it works if wet. Hinge bearings are smooth, making the blade easy to deploy.
Main con for me is the liner lock. Very uncomfortable to jam your thumb into the groove to release the lock.

Great price for a unique knife style
I bought several of these as gifts (and one for myself). Fit and finish is fantastic. Not enough use to evaluate durability but unless you're mis-using your knife it should hold up for a long time.

Great budget cleaver!
First time in 20 years that I've bought a Gerber and I must admit: great value for the money! Good detent, good ergo's, tight build and a sharp well ground D2 blade! As it is has thick stock and a stainless steel framelock it ain't a lightweight but it makes more than up with attitude!

I broke the belt clip off when I taking it out of the packaging... the metal snapped. Then I chipped the blade cutting a zip tie..

I thought it was a smart looking knife.
I purchased the red Asada knife, since I did not have a knife in that color. I work in a distribution center cutting boxes open in front of customers. This knife is an attention getter. I have had many complements, it keeps its edge.

Surpassed My Expectations!
I ordered this blade because it had a unique shape and was pretty cool looking. I never expected to receive a knife of this quality and comfort in the hand for the price. The action on this blade is incredible for a knife of this price range or more expensive for that matter. It is well above my expectations, and it has replaced many more expensive knives in my carry rotation.
