Not good. Everything about it is less smooth
I am a leatherman guy. I had five leatherman sitting on the desk next to this. Nothing about it is smooth like the leathermans. The knife swing out, the plier slide, it all as a slightly “chunky” motion. it simply behaves cheaply. Or, more like a leatherman I have owned for 20 years and never cleaned. Except it’s new. this was my first drop experience. It may very well be my last.

Great set of tools but a tad on the heavy. The holster is not great. Would have preferred a nylon one instead

I usually carry a SKELETOOL, which is intended to weigh much less than a full-size multitool. I also work on computers daily so I needed a better screwdriver than the SKELETOOL offered. The Centerdrive has an excellent socket driver that reaches into the tiny access areas I needed to reach. It’s noticeably heavier, but with a lot of additional tools that operate better than my last multi tool. It’s hard to tell but you could keep two bits in the Centerdrive (with 4 different points) without needing the leather case it comes with to hold the other 12 bits. The Multitool Holster The interior leather flap inside the belt loop catches on my duty 1.5” belt when inserting it, which got annoying. Also drawing the knife is significantly less optimized. The tool sits in the holster upside down to the knife’s opening edge requiring me to rotate it on every draw before using the knife - something I routinely need to do more than anything else in the multitool. Therefore I started looking for alternative holsters. I have purchased two to try, one for $15 and the other for $30:
  • Depring Tool Holster Sheath Universal
Gerber may have better alternatives if you reach out to them directly for advice.

BeegrizzleSo far the Depring Tool Holster Sheath Universal Multi Pockets Tool Organizer Heavy Duty Construction MOLLE Pouch works well and is fairly inexpensive.

Works good so far.
Only time will tell honestly. All of my past Gerber knives have broken. Either the tip of the blade or the shears of cutters...So, we'll see.
