The Gevril Hudson Yards Diver collection brings the storied grandeur and craftsmanship of Hudson Yards, a famed neighborhood in the West-Side of Manhattan, right to your wrist. These gold-adorned watches feature classic Diver sensibilities (bold numbers and legends, assertive bezels, and clear watch hands) alongside Art Deco-esque character (glitzy gold, playful fonts, and a true sense of timelessness) Read More

In its defense A) it actually looks like a watch and B) it is a legitimate Diver, and C) it has a desirable movement: The Sellita SW200-1 is a Swiss automatic movement widely used in various watch brands. It is often considered a direct alternative to the ETA 2824-2, offering similar performance, reliability, and a 38-hour power reserve. Many watchmakers use it due to ETA’s supply restrictions, making it a go-to movement for Swiss automatic watches. So if it’s the movement that’s has you considering this watch, you might also be interested in other brands and models that use it. Here’s a list: Notable Watch Brands Using the Sellita SW200-1: Luxury & High-End Brands: • IWC – Some Portofino Automatic models. • TAG Heuer – Certain Aquaracer models. • Baume & Mercier – Classima & Clifton collections. • Oris – Diver 65, Big Crown Pointer Date (modified version of SW200-1). • Hublot – Some entry-level Classic Fusion models. Mid-Range Swiss Brands: • Christopher Ward – C60 Trident, C63 Sealander, C65 Aquitaine. • Raymond Weil – Freelancer models. • Maurice Lacroix – Aikon Automatic. • Montblanc – Some models in the 1858 collection. • Mühle Glashütte – Teutonia, Panova, Sea-Timer (modifications for improved shock resistance). Affordable Swiss & Microbrands: • Certina – DS Action Diver. • Tissot – Some PRS 516 and Gentleman models. • Glycine – Combat Sub, Airman. • Zodiac – Super Sea Wolf collection. • Steinhart – Ocean One, Ocean Vintage. • Squale – 1521, 1545 dive watches. • Formex – Essence Automatic. The Sellita SW200-1 is popular because it is reliable, cost-effective, and available in multiple grades, including Standard, Elabore, Top, and Chronometer (COSC-certified) for different levels of precision. Certainly no shortage of alternative choices to consider. Choose wisely.

OK, since when this costs more than a Tudor or Omega? Drop is making the same mistake that they were making at the end of their previous watch run, going from offering Seiko and Orient for good price to pretending to offer some no name brands with astronomical discounts. This watch can be found ion numerous places for less than here. Looks to me like Drop is not serious about getting watch customers back, it's more of a show, "Look, we started offering them expensive watches with huge discounts but no one was buying, it means market is dead, let's go back to keyboards and headphones..." This is pure BS. If Drop was serious about bringing watches back and about getting those customers back they wouldn't be doing this...

unixvova@unixvova The picture you posted is actually showing that the watch is OUT OF STOCK, so I wouldn't rely on the price they posted as it's not relevant, as it could be it was a price mistake and not available..
