The Glashütte Original Senator Perpetual Calendar watch is unconventional by design, but that’s what makes it so appealing. On the dial, the month, day, and date are all deconstructed Read More
Some very ignorant comments in this discussion section. If you are seriously considering buying this watch, I would suggest you watch this video review of the blue dial version with Roman numerals to start your research on this watch.

If you're thinking about this watch, if I were you, this wouldn't be my first nor second nor third watch. This should come after your Sea Dwellers, Subs, Daytonas, Speedmasters, Tissot automatics even. Other than that, enjoy!
I don't disagree with you, however I likened this to trying/drinking single malt whisky. One should try Macallan first before one tries Yamazaki. At that point not only he/she would appreciate a Yamazaki perhaps also understands why they cost more than a Macallan.
RhodiusLike most Japanese whiskies, Yamazaki is very good. However, only a few years ago it cost only 30% of what it does now. Its current value isn't a result of a dramatic increase in quality since then; it was driven by a dramatic increase in demand as Japanese whisky belatedly gained the recognition it deserved and became fashionable internationally.
I agree with your implication that Macallan is overpriced, but based on its recent history, that means Yamazaki is even more overpriced.
This is indeed a very good price for a watch of this complication. Although honestly I like the blue dial better.
For people who think Casio is better, I don't go around saying it's a bad choice. Don't need, didn't ask for your opinion. Thank you.
Certainly an interesting watch... but need GMT functions than a calendar due to my frequent business travels anroad.... so going for a Rolex explorer2 GMT for similar price
HeavyboxerBut the Rolex is not a perpetual 📅 better go with this one https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/montblanc-heritage-perpetual-calendar-limited-edition-100
And if you're getting a Rolex GMT for a similar price, you're considering the steel version. So be prepared for the awful waiting list that Rolex has... You'll get the GMT in a couple of years maybe, unless you buy used or pay a premium for it.
Looks like an early 1900's baseball scoreboard, where men inside ran around hanging numbers in various little windows to update the stats. Might be fancy and expensive, but it's an awkward jumble of design and interface elements. Definitely NOT the watch I'd dump my next $6,900 of disposable income on.
--but don't let me stop all you fat-cats with stupid-crazy, look-at-me cash on hand--ya'll just g'won on ahead!
RayFGerman watches don't have anywhere near the brand recognition of Swiss watches so if anyone's buying one of these to show off, I think they're doing it wrong!
This is a lot of money for most of us but not a lot of money for this watch in fact I think it’s a good deal imo blue hands would look nice and with a movement with this complication you might want a manufacture warranty
Am impressed by the price cut. Chrono24 and other sites have it at minimum 8k plus - how the heck is it being sold for so cheap? Glashütte is a name I at least recognize, so the brand isn't some unknown player.

dirgeofthedawnMy guess is GO has a fairly high markup, probably around 70%. So that leaves around 8-900 in profit for the seller at this price, which is fair for a grey market watch in this price.
