Product Description
The newest iteration of Glycine’s Airman is the Airman 42. Originally designed for pilots, it’s found a wider audience since its release in the 1950s, not only for its unique design—the dial is numbered all the way through 24 in intervals of 2, with the 12th numeral at the 6 o’clock position—but also for its ability to display second and third time zones Read More

Use of GMT for 3 time zones: does anyone know how to find out whether the current hour hand is on am or pm if the GMT is adjusted to real GMT time and the bezel is adjusted to 3rd time zone? I think this is where to actual hour hand does not really make sense and the "Purist" version without GMT hand is more practical: actual location on 24-h scale and bezel for instant at GMT or any 2nd time zone... And just found out that there's a GA version of the Base 22 which the hour hand rotates once every 24 hours and that with an extra GMT hand: basically the hour hand and the GMT is swapped there

Thanks for your advice. Appreciate that :) I see you could secure one copy of the Maurice Lacroix Moon Phase watch. Congratulation belated! I'm interested into watches with ETA Valjoux 7751 myself so I have a question: later production date movement has implemented a column wheel that makes actuation of start/stop/reset buttons easier. Does your copy of the Maurice Lacroix has a column wheel? Or do you have any concern / difficulty using the start/stop/reset buttons? I'm trying to figure out whether these latest "column wheels" are a must for an automatic chronograph. Thanks in advance for sharing! Best regards

Tony48307AFAIK Valjoux has always been cam operated. There's only one column wheel modification which is exclusive for Longines: https://watchbase.com/longines/caliber/l688-2 and then for Omega https://watchbase.com/omega/caliber/3330 I have on Longines with column wheel as well, and I don't really feel any noticeable difference with the pushers action 😅 Indeed I also have a (bargain) Bulova Accuswiss with a Valjoux and that one is the smoothest one of all my chronographs. So don't worry, grab a Valjoux or the Longines if you're after the column wheel variation. The feeling will be great on all ✅

I had one of these...didn't find it nearly as sophisticated, interesting, and/or eye-catching as many other Glycine models (I'm a Glycine fanboy...own 5 of them). The hands are chunky and the dial lacks the mid-century style elements that make the Noon, the DC-4 and even the Base 22 such interesting pieces.

This is purely subjective, so if you find you like the look of it, it's a great value for a Swiss watch, but you could get one of the above-mentioned models at Ashford or Jomashop for less.

Great watches, one of the most original designs ever, these being dropped are fine I have no issue with them, but this IS an Ashford drop, and those watches have been on sale much cheaper for like a while now, direct from them. Of course they raised all the prices by a LOT for the drop, as usual.

rumata13 Not in the GL0064 Stainless case and bracelet that everyone seems to want; that model appears to be out of stock everywhere, or only available at MSRP.

Luminous dial with the NATO style strap looks great. Hard to fault this particular Glycine model. The "1 purchaser needed" quote would worry me if I was thinking of purchase, as in the past the "Sold Through" seems to go up real quick!!

Whoops, sorry, I still had Ashford in my history and cookies and had that exact model in my shopping cart, once I got an error and cleared cookies, it went up to like 699.. That's how you can tell this is an Ashford drop guys! They raise the prices on their site to support the drop, and sell them for like 20-30% more on the drop!

Glen8Yes, agreed. This seems to be the current retail collusion tactic. Which can be a little devious. Unfortunately it isn't always easy to figure out the point of origin of the supply chain. Chrono24 actually list the supplying retailer on the add: this might be a reasonable thing for DROP to consider in the interests of transparency; as this obvious price altering that seems to be occurring around a drop could be seen as price fixing and manipulation. As I have said before I have had some great purchases from Drop since joining; and see myself as one of many supporters for this platform : but I must say that in the previous 6 months or so I have seen this concerning behaviour. The "evidence" if you like is very circumstantial; but with many people noticing it one would have to say it warrants looking into. I have seen this happen with sites like Jomashop,Ashford, and a couple of others. Although on some occassions the price has been similar but the watch is "Out of stock"111 Really!!! I don't mind different marketing techniques being used; but this does appear very sneaky. We might be totally wrong and i would be the first to forward my apologises; but I never have been a believer in repeated coincidence. Still the old adage "Buyer Beware" , has to be adhered too.

Don't fall in love with the model in the first four photos--it's not available. Neither is this one...

RayFIt’s really a practical watch for travelers who transfer at different airports across several time zones. Hopefully it could be reproduced.
