Beautiful watch...love it...but not impressed with the quality or Glycine Customer Service
I love the look of the watch, the size, and the feel...but the calendar stopped working w/in 6 months and when I sent it to the repair location (of which there are only 2 or 3 authorized to do warranty repair work), they informed me that the calendar was not covered and that the damage was due to "impact damage" (which it was not). I spoke with Glycine customer service and they echo'd the repair shop. I finally received it back...and the calendar worked for about 3 days and it will not now auto turn over at midnight again. I have reached back to the repair shop and await a response. I own the Base 22 and love it. It seems to be better constructed. I wanted to love the watch, but not at this price w/ this quality issue and with the lack of customer support from Glycine. MassDrop, however, was PHENOMENAL in helping me work with Glycine/repair service to try to address the issue.

Everyone comments on the look of this watch on the wrist. The finishes on the case, dial, crystal, etc. are an outstanding ode to the vintage piece. This has become a go-to travel watch for me.

I absolutely love my Glycine Airman 40mm Purist in white! Here it is on an olive Toxic NATO strap.
Super value for a limited addition (I’m 0011 / 1000) and everyone loves it. I’m anxiously awaiting my next “gotta get” watch. Thanks Massdrop!

I got the 40mm version. The watch looks great, came well packaged and included that awesome Airman wooden box. My only negative, unless I’m doing something wrong, is that it doesn’t hand wind. It’s strictly automatic. But overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. Massdrop’s price was outstanding. I will definitely be making more purchases here.

NanjiIt defo handwinds. I thought the exact same thing as you, the winding is just EXTREMELY quiet. If you put it right to your ear, you will hear it wind.

Beautiful watch! Exactly what I was looking for to use when I am flying and/or traveling internationally.
It has an acrylic "crystal" and the crown stem for adjusting the hands DOES NOT screw down just like the originals...which is likely why it is limited to 10meter water resistance. The Airman 1 is an awesome piece if you are looking for a retro watch that gives you a 24 hour time keeper.
I went for the "Purist" black faced version and looks great....Now I want a white faced version not too. Darn you Massdrop!!!
I also have a Glycine Airman Sphair World Timer 39mm Black Bezel GL 293 with the GMT hand and love them both....actually having the GMT 24 hour hand and also the normal 12 hour hand on the watch is a little more handy for keeping track of local and GMT times but I love both watches and styles.
The watch band is from Clockwork Synergy ~ Brown Bomber Leather Band....
