ahh maaann... i joined the drop on the airman 18 because i don't think the 1953 would ever be offered again with the limited to only 1000 pieces. but then again how come this drop offers another 1000? did i read wrong that the last 1953 isn't a limited edition?

Eddy-GinieWell, they send out the watches in random order. You would get #0001 or #1000 if you get lucky.

ChitiaosiGlycine originally released this model, with the original style hands, in a limited edition of 600. These sold out fast, and are very hard to come by now. This is the re-released version (different hands) of 1000, and as far as I know, that's the extent of them. While most other Airman versions have been offered in purist, as well as GMT forms, the 1953 has only been offered only as a purist. The Airman Number 1, released a few years ago is, at 36mm, a very accurate rendition of the original Airman, while the 42mm 1953, is more of a modern homage to the original. It's essentially, the DC-4 purist, with a different dial. And...It's a beautiful watch, in my opinion.
