I kinda wanted the white but my wife and two coworkers all said blue since the hands are a little weak. Ain't gonna be wearing it anywhere that I need the lume anyways. I have several other watches for that. I just like the idea of a bronze case semi-dress watch, and my bronze combat sub has sold me on glycine's bronze stuff.

Bronze is okay, but the hands on this version are a definitely a little weak. Here's an idea: wouldn't it be great if MD and Invicta/Glycine got together on a re-release of the stainless Glycine Combat Vintage?!!! They're impossible to find these days--reasonably priced anyway. My pick would be the black dial version, now that's a damn watch!

On the other hand, if you don't mind a Combat Vintage in the white/silver dial configuration, Jomashop has 'em IN-STOCK at a decent price:

And a moon phase too? Maybe barometric pressure and a Helium escape valve for good measure? No--that would take a simple, straight forward watch design to the FUBAR zone!

RayFI don't really like the larger hand design for this watch, but a bit larger reverse lollipop on the second hand, similar to the seiko five would be great. I almost use the second hand on a watch more than the actual minute/hour as a medic. and if I hate the hands, I can always change them. Learned recently that it's a much less intense job than I thought.

That’s reasonable.

fenderjapanProbably because the case has been primarily for diver watches, which is what I personally prefer for a bronze case, I have seen a few offerings around the traps with bronze case, not being a diver or diver style and I just don't think this finish compliments them the way it does on a diver. Don't ming the white/cream dial with arabic numbers though.

Not much of a combat without luminous hands.

I would also expect to find Tourneau watches on sale at street corners, no?

StrejleYes 36 or 38mm would be perfect for me in this style watch. I don’t think they make the bronze in 36 yet.

It’s not obvious from the pics, but the GL0284 has a green dial and dark green band

I got mine today. The watch band and face are a close match to the Ashford photo, the case and hands are darker and slightly pinker. Very good-looking watch, I am happy with my purchase for now. Let’s see how accurate the movement is. The glass does not have any anti-reflective treatment, however.
