It’s not obvious from the pics, but the GL0284 has a green dial and dark green band

mcloseYes, very good-looking watch, and with a 43mm case should be easy to read with my tired eyes. I love bronze and I love green. IWC made the Flieger Spitfire in bronze and green, but I can’t justify that expense on a watch I would probably use once a week. https://www.ablogtowatch.com/iwc-pilots-watch-chronograph-spitfire-bronze/

fazalmajidI want to like it but it's a hideous shade of green to my eyes. An over cyanated mouldy kind of colour. A darker british racing green would go nicely with the bronze.

You can’t trust colors on the web, even when your monitor is color-calibrated. The IWC I mentioned above has a much darker, earthy green, but it’s more khaki than racing green. I think I like this shade better, but I suspect it’s darker in real life and closer to the Drop photo.

Don’t knock green mold; penicillin has saved my ass on more than one occasion!

fazalmajid Once read an article concerning color choices for Men’s Suits. No shade of green is permitted; it’s considered an insincere color. Also tends to make one look like a Leprechaun.

RayFLiterally saved your ass? What exactly were you doing with your ass that required penicillin to save it........?

fazalmajidGood point, I am sure it looks better 'in the flesh' On Green wathges - the IWC look to have it aboutright but I'd still prefer a deeper green, I think. I've always liked the seiko alpinist although that is also on the bright side (at least in photos)

If the drug prevents one’s death, then the expression “saving one’s ass” applies. Or were you thinking of an alternative application?

I see you’ve suddenly developed a rather noticeable speech impediment—I recommend Penicillin.

RayFWriting impediment, actually. Thick fingers, phone keyboard, auto-correct off: a vicious combination.

Oh trust me—MD’s auto-correction is even more vicious. Often makes me sound like a Russian secret agent posing as an an American!

RayFI have an under-used Brook's Dinner Jacket in Black Watch Tartan. Looks a bit like this, except the "model" is elderly, fat, and bald. This Glycine would not be the watch of choice for this attire.

I got mine today. The watch band and face are a close match to the Ashford photo, the case and hands are darker and slightly pinker. Very good-looking watch, I am happy with my purchase for now. Let’s see how accurate the movement is. The glass does not have any anti-reflective treatment, however.
