A modern dress watch backed by more than 100 years of watchmaking expertise, the Glycine Combat Classic Open Heart automatic is a cross between a military aesthetic and something much more formal. The 24-hour markers and luminous hands, pips, and indices give the watch a bit of an edge; but the open heart and textured leather strap allude to its fancier side. Inside the stainless steel case, there’s a GL224 automatic movement. This Swiss-made movement—complete with a Glycine-decorated rotor—offers a 42-hour power reserve and features a sweeping seconds hand that vibrates at 28,800 beats per hour. It’s housed under a sapphire crystal and is waterproof to 50 meters.
