awful product from Glycine combined with awful customer service experience from Drop
Watch came with a very big and very obvious defect / mark in the sapphire crystal or in the AR coating that is easily seen with the naked eye near 2 O'clock area. Contacted Drop Customer Service immediately upon watch arrival and they NEVER EVER replied. So much for the myth with Swiss Made and Swiss quality. No thanks, never again with Drop. They just don't care. If I send this in to an authorized repair shop under warranty, I will need to spend additional $$$ in shipping and may not see this watch for a month or two with no guarantee anything will be done right. Guess I will just need to live with this as a beauty mark. Hello Drop, if you see this, why is your customer service department not responding to my emails? I have been wearing this watch either on my wrist or stored in an automatic watch winder since it arrived, as of today on 31July this watch is running almost 2 minutes fast. So much for Swiss Made quality, what a piece of crap this turns out to be.

sierrawhiskeyWhy are you complaining about service but haven't contacted the actual people who made and warranty the watch, Glycine? Massdrop will never help with anything beyond giving you a little money or a refund if they send you the wrong product, it's on the manufacturer (truly good retailers - which MD ain't - will actually take care of an exchange for you, but in this case, it's a LE watch that is completely sold out. So you would be stuck sending it back to Glycine even if MD's customer service didn't suck) You aren't dropping ten grand on a watch - there are going to be occasional QC fails. But, I'm guessing whatever accident nicked your sapphire also banged the movement inside hard enough to throw it out of time, so they're likely tied together. Yes, it's a bummer that you could be stuck paying for shipping to Glycine for service, but that's just the risk we run buying from MD, who doesn't offer any post sale support whatsoever, and never has. It's a black mark on them as a company, yes, but it's a $500 watch, and spending $10-15 to have it shipped back to Glycine for free repair/replacement shouldn't be the end of the world. Still, sorry you got a dud. But you should take some solace in the watch being worth it to have fixed, since the rest of us have no QC issues and the movement is keeping fantastic time.
