This watch has been at the top of my 'grail' list since it hit my radar months ago. .......But, I've never bought anything on/thru Massdrop before so I have some questions: I did not see how many units this drop is limited to. I think I have always seen that on other drops . I find myself now on the fence about this watch since in the interim I found another watch I really dig too so I'm trying to gauge how long I have to make a decision between the 2. Most importantly tho, what exactly does it mean that this watch is 'warranted' by Massdrop? Let's say in a few months after receiving my watch it starts running 2 minutes a day slow, runs intermittently or stops all together....etc..... How does Massdrop handle this? What does the warranty on my end look like? And, can anyone out there that really knows about servicing movements tell me how does having this Glycine in house adapted eta 2824-2 affect me getting it serviced in the future? Will it be harder to find an appropriate watchmaker? Cost more to get it serviced? Have to be sent back to Glycine for service? Or is the movement just as simple a modified 2824-2 with a Glycine stamped rotor and regulated in house? Thankx!

DustyTriumphHello @DustyTriumph Thanks for your interest on this drop!
I can answer at least the first part of your questions; regarding MD warranty please refer to our FAQ page on this topic: https://helpdesk.massdrop.com/hc/en-us/articles/213283457-Massdrop-1-Year-Limited-Warranty
About available quantities, we have roughly about 8 units of each colorway. I will update our page to reflect this and make sure folks know what's available. We're very happy about the reaction from our community on this drop.

TomasVThank you for the response TomasV. I'm not surprised that there is a good reaction. It's a killer watch at an extremely attractive price here that appears to have limited availability. Glycine and Iguana the only places I know of. If I miss this drop while I'm debating between this watch and another I hope I see a return drop.

DustyTriumphI've had to return two watches (both were Victorinox Ambassador mechanical chronos; they were offered again two weeks ago) because the chronograph seconds hand on both stuttered badly when activated. On both occasions, MassDrop offered to contact the vendor to source a new unit or to refund the purchase price. The first time they were able to secure a new unit, but for the second they couldn't get a new one, so they issued a refund. I don't think they have a repair shop/technician in-house or contract repair work to an outside shop, so exchange/refund may be the only options, at least on watches. Maybe @TomasV can expand on that.
Most manufacturers get ETA to put on a signed rotor and call it a day, and I think that is the case with the GL 224. This one doesn't have a GMT hand, the date appears at three o'clock, as with almost any other ETA 2824, so there is no complicated way (that I can think of) of making the date change (it should change with the minute hand after midnight), so, other than any possible decoration requested by Glycine, this looks like a standard ETA 2824 with a custom rotor.
I'll keep looking to see if I can find something that describes what changes (if any) Glycine made to the 2824.

DustyTriumphHi @DustyTriumph ! We heard back directly from the folks at the factory in Switzerland: Glycine Double Twelve is a regular ETA 2824 with no changes/modifications other than the engraved rotor.
