In spite of all the negativity in here, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I just received the product and am very satisfied.
First, it looks really nice. The wood has a deep, dark color which seems to absorb all the light around it. Texture is smooth yet soft: almost velvety. It feels really nice just to move your hand across it: feels nothing like the top of my IKEA desk. Something I really appreciate is that it doesn't have a flat incline: it curves up from a steep gradient into a shallower one. The two large rubber supports have the perfect amount of resistance to stay steady while typing, yet don't resist when you try to shift the wrist rest.
Could I have gotten a similar product for cheaper? Maybe. I just needed something to keep my wrists level with the keys. But for something that I will use for the majority of my waking life, I appreciate all of the subtle details that went into improving my experience using this thing.
