Be very aware of what version you're ordering. If your keyboard has a plate, chances are the PCB version won't fit even if you're soldering the switches. Overall though, it does quiet down the switch because it prevents it from bottoming out.
These did an amazing job with the sound on my keys (Holy Pandas) and took out any of the sharper sounds during hard typing. I didn't realize it was going to reduce the travel as much as it did, but I actually really like that. It eliminated most of the pre-travel to the tactile bump, and has made it feel as if I had stiffer springs. This is a bonus for me because I was thinking about ordering heavier springs. They also seem to reduce stem wobble just a tiny bit.
I think these do not look good on low profile keyboards, I would like them more if you could order them in a solid color. But I understand a lot of people need clear ones for RGB switches.
The Cherry Silent Reds on my numpad are slightly quieter, but these clips work well with my Cherry browns.
It dampens the sharpness of the clack on bottom-out, it almost completely gets rid of the sound on return to neutral.
There are only 2 negatives that came up. Installation was irritating with my Costar Stabilizers, but does work with them. Also, I've had to replace a couple due to keycaps getting jammed into them. I've had this problem with thin stock Filco caps and some cheap thick PBT keycaps.
It was a very good purchase for someone who already has a board.
