Hey everyone, We're clearing out inventory of GMK Triumph Adler that we've had sitting in the warehouse for many years. The original drop was notable for a few reasons and I want to address any questions and concerns you may have. As for why this set was excluded from Yanbo's Closet, we had to manually check and re-sort any sets that were jumbled due to the V1 GMK trays that have a tendency to come apart while in transit. So, to cut to the chase: -How will the sets in legacy packaging be shipped? We will reinforce the tray with more tape so that you don't lose any keycaps in transit, but there is still the possibility that the snap buttons come apart and your keycaps arrive jumbled. -What is the difference between the legacy packaging and updated packaging? The legacy packaging is held together by 3 snap buttons. The updated packaging is held together by 6 pins. The latter is more secure and is the standard packaging for GMK nowadays.

-Can you add X keys and/or support for Y layout/keyboard? Nope. As noted on the Overview page, these were produced in 2015 so nothing is getting added. -If the photos and render are not a precise representation of color, what does the set actually look like? The blue is difficult to capture accurately, but here is a potato pic (cellphone camera). There are also a multitude of photos of the set scattered across the internet. My photo below also comes with a disclaimer that it is not to be taken as a perfect representation of the color. Fun fact: the set I have mounted on my Pearl is one of two sets that I purchased from the original group buy in 2015.

-If these were produced in 2015, why does the button say "Pre-order"? Minor detail regarding how our backend is set up. We have these on hand. Notice how faded the SKU sticker is in the image above of the legacy packaging.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a white retro looking tenkeyless cherry mx keyboard to put these on? I like the look of the original but due to ergo issues I need tenkeyless

Would anyone happen to know if these are compatible with the Razer Huntsman TE? I’m new to the community and like the look of this set.

ravin225It seems as if it would fir just fine, the layout seems to be supported. Although in the description on these keycaps it seems as if they bleed unevenly with backlighting. "These keycaps exhibit uneven light bleed when used with backlighting." If that isn't an issue with you I see no problem with this keycap set being compatible.

MagikThanks man. I’ll see if there is a way to turn off backlighting but if not, it should work fine

The kit shows one set and the photo shows another. Are the sublegends on the kit that are up for preorder or not? Seems very low effort to not put them in the render.

Thanks for the response, but the gray box does not mention anything about sublegends. It only tries to distinguish on the color differences between the two and says the render is the kitting, not if it includes sublegends or not.

jakerepsI updated it to be explicit. The photo is of the original set and the render shows what you will get. If you don't see sublegends in the render, then you have your answer.

Site says the buy has 1 more day to go, but all the sets are already out of stock. Could we just end this early and get charged please?
I’ve been looking for a board with a huge bezel/case like this. Anyone have any ideas for me? Best I found was TKC1800
micahnycS7 Elephant in white. Hope you were able to get in that groupbuy Jacky had. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=103148.0 Still waiting for my e-white as there is still a delay do to the corona virus.

BluskyyBlue on the modifiers is a bit lighter and more greeny than Raindrop
He was referring to JTK raindrop.

Thought I'd post a quick review, since I own a couple of these sets. As others have said, you can occasionally find these in decent or new condition on r/mm for around $100. It's a nice set, and an interesting piece of gmk history, since I believe this was their first foray into custom colors. However, the color matching is not good. If you're looking for an accurate replica, the recent GMK TA 90 set is much closer to the original. That being said, the teal mod color is quite unique, and works well with many other keysets. For example, these mods look very nice with alpha caps from an old CompacTA or Gabriele. Aside from color-matching and layout issues, I think the biggest problem with this set is the alpha legends. For some reason, there is a bit of bleed into the lighter body color, which makes the legends appear slightly fuzzy. I have never seen this in any other OG Cherry or GMK keyset. Personally, I don't think it's worth $125 in 2020. But obviously that's your decision to make. Regardless, I'm fond of gmk, and I can say that I'm happy to have this set in my collection.
