I'll agree with previous comments and say the original design, the one I see at the top of the page as I type this, was not copied completely. First thing that jumped out to me is how the QWERTZ only had a symbol on the right shift, and yet words were added to the contemporary version. Surely if this concession was made, others could have been as well?

LiarThe pictures of the OG board are just one German layout one. US ANSI versions were made too. This set is a direct replica of the ANSI version.
LiarThere are a lot of factors going into the design. Functionality, cost, personal preferences, mass preferences, authenticity, these have to be balanced against one another.
monoCorrect. The photos are just to show how the final caps will look IRL.
