Great looking and build quality, no Macos driver is great disadvantage.
The best build quality keyboard I ever own. However, I haven't used it since bought it for 3 years, since I am primarily a Mac user, and this keyboard doesn't work well with Macos out of the box. And the Macos driver is still nowhere near.
This keyboard was expensive, and I'm not sure if it was worth it. It was advertised as being programmable, but it isn't. I have tried reaching out to Uniqey on reddit and through email, and each time I have been promised help, but nothing has happened.
The software doesn't work. One of the LED lights doesn't work, and it's not clear what it's supposed to do.
I tried contacting Uniqey on Reddit 7 months ago, and was told I would receive an email from support with help, but I never did. I tried emailing Uniqey support 6 weeks ago, and received a reply that I would be receiving help. I have tried following up 4 times, but I still have yet to hear anything.
The hardware is fantastic, but the software and support are simply non-existent. I've had the keyboard for a year and there is still no functional software. Being able to program the keyboard would be really useful, especially since it has only 71 keys. It was advertised to be programmable, and that's why I bought it. Two stars because after a year, it isn't what is was promised to be.
Update, the software is now working.
Tried installing on my machine a bunch of times since it released and never got it to work. Recently did a fresh install on a new hard drive, and it's working. On the working instance, the Uniqey software threw an error during install, but actually works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So, got my keyboard in the mail the other day after a looooong wait.
PROS:
1. Looks cool
2. Heavy
CONS:
1. Bigger space between g & h keys.
2. Code key not working on MAC. Apparently that's an osx thing though.
3. Uniqey Control GUI not available for MAC
4. Dark grey color is much darker than I thought it would be.
UPDATE: Fn now working
Also got a Mac GUI ver.1.0.0
Still can't get code/numlock to work on mac though, but have let the support team know... I'm also hoping for color control for all LEDs.
