I got my gold one today (I joined a drop for the gold one because I didn't know there would be a silver one offered). I joined Aug 14, the drop ended Aug 21, it shipped Sep 9th, and arrived today, Sept 14th. All in all, I'm pleased with the die. It's big. It's heavy. Whatever gold coating they used isn't perfect, but only people who nitpick won't be happy with it. It's very shiny. There's a VERY small area where the paint/finish/coating whatever it is wasn't applied evenly, so there's a little extra material, but like I said, you have to nitpick to find it. It's about the size of a goftball, and WAY heavier. If someone threw this at my head, and it hit me, I would cry. Actually, if they threw it at any part of my body, and it hit me, I would cry. I cannot comment as to how it will suffer the effects of wear and tear, like scratching or what not.
It's taller than 2d6 stacked on top of one another, but not as tall as 3d6.
Oh neat, there's a button to attach a picture. Let's try it. I'll try and capture the "imperfection" so you can all see what I was talking about - not a big deal.
