Available with 3.5- or 5.5-ounces of down fill, the pants are made of durable 20d nylon and insulated with 850-fill-power goose down. Each pair features a sewn-through construction that keeps the garment light and prevents the down from settling or bunching. The fabric’s DWR finish sloughs water when you find yourself in wet or snowy conditions, and the down is treated with water-repellent DownTek to stay drier longer. Elastic ankle cuffs seal out the cold, and the cinch-top waist has a shock cord and cord lock, allowing you tighten and loosen the pants as needed.

Ben Smith founded Goosefeet Gear during his third year of college at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The company started with down socks, and soon added waterproof over-booties and pillows. Today, 6 years later, its product line includes everything from down jackets, pants, and vests to sleeping quilts—all made by hand here in the USA.
