I'll stick to my 5.11 boots, Vans, and asics (or saucony, or Mizuno). They don't cost a small fortune and I can actually wear them without being afraid to smudge them. Also, are these traditional nike's in the sense that the bottoms are waffle's?

tyler555Hi Tyler555! Thanks for input, I'm a huge trainer fan myself - I own multiple pairs of Asic GT-II, V and Gel-Lyte III. And can definitely see the benefit to owning a few pairs of casual running shoes.
The waffle sole was actually first implemented as a sole of a running shoe. There are still many vintage retro models produced by Nike that use an iteration of this type of sole such as the Air Waffle Trainer.
As this sole was made for running it wouldn't really work on the Jordan 1s or the Air Force Ones, which were originally designed to play basketball. These come with a much flatter / smoother sole.
Thanks and hope this helps clarify a few things for you!
