z28camaroNo experience with Grace, but they are highly regarded in the pro audio community. The good thing about audio is that, (aside from the major switch from analog to digital), it doesn't change a whole lot with time, like smart phones do. If you have world class D to A converters, those are not going to get 100% better anytime soon. At a certain point at the top of the heap, you cannot convert digital to audio that much better. But for $1500, why not pull out the stops and spend a little more (ask for a deal at Sound Pure) and get a Lynx Hilo, then you have world class mastering level DACs ( yes plural) plus A to D converters (rip your vinyl collection with unsurpassed fidelity) plus an audio spectrograph, everything to everything routing options, upgradable firmware, touch screen, to name a few things. That's probably WAY overkill if you are not working with audio, but then you don't have to worry about something slightly better coming along. The dudes (and chicks) that master records use that thing.

Jas260I don't see why they would not ship international, perhaps a small difference in cost (10s of dollars maybe, or maybe nothing) I got mine for $2K shipped, they retail for $2250.

Jas260From Sound Pure? It might be a matter of finding another retailer that will work with you to ship international. SP orders ship directly from Lynx. The Hilo is shipped with a checklist to be sure the voltage and power source are correct for the country it's going to. Hold on lemme show you...

Not trying to put you off Grace, if you are just listening, and not converting (ever) A to D, or just want a top tier (rarified air) DAC, which is probably not THAT much better than a Grace (for an average guy with Senn HD800's... .;) It may not be worth it. If you have no plans to use the I/O, (convert from A to D) then I think the Grace will probably more than suit your needs. (not having heard one.)
