ok, I know I read previously someone commenting on the knob being a little wobbly (and I have to say the forum not having a search feature is painfully obvious when trying to sort through 70 pages of posts).
I received mine yesterday and have it hooked up (fyi, you cannot install the usb mode 2 driver completely until you actually go into the menu on the m9XX to change to USB mode 2, figured that out and hoping that helps someone).
But yes, my knob is wobbly. Now I realize it has to serve several functions including being clickable and maybe it is just the nature of these but in that previous thread that I can't find now someone else replied and felt there was no wobble.
I'm interested in other opinions from owners. Wobbly? Rock solid? somewhere in the middle? Mine wobbles about 8 degrees or so with very minor pressure.

I am loving mine. The knob on mine does wobble slightly, but it has not bothered at all. The top of the knob is 1.5 inches in diameter and I have to press on the center 1in diameter to get it to push down. I dunno how you measured the angle, but this is the way I could quantify the wobble.

Eyeballing it and relying on my high school trig :-).
attaching a couple closeups of my left thumb with the knob wobble visible behind it albeit out of focus :-)

I'll be getting mine tomorrow. Will let you know if mine's wobbly too or not.

Thanks! Don't get me wrong, so far awesome but it is a $499 tiny piece of hardware. I really am surprised by the wobble.

That's about the same about of wobble as I have. It seems to be normal for the m9XX.

Thanks guys, sounds like it's pretty typical then. Going to now concentrate on the listening :-)
