Got this to reduce footprint of gear in my office. Used it to replace Bel Canto DAC 2, Stax SRM-T1, Stax Lambda Sig. Trying it out with AKG K7XX. First impression was that vocals in what I was listening to were awful and that the highs were rolled. This is actually a good thing, as the recording was indeed awful and the Grace/AKG combo was actually more revealing of its faults than the Bel Canto/Stax rig. With better recording, detail is very nice indeed, although there still seems to be a slight rolloff somewhere in the highs (not clear if it's amp or headphone, but will play around and see). One problem: the Grace has no analog input at all. This prevents trying other DACs to evaluate the DAC and amp in isolation. Still, sound is very impressive at the price point.
