Product Description
The 3D Hydro reservoirs by Gregory Mountain Products have a soft-molded, self-supporting structure, so they perform like a flexible bladder but clean like a sturdy water bottle. The QuickDry design speeds drying time and discourages bacteria growth, while the QuickDry hanger hook allows easy storage Read More

I had one of these included in a Gregory backpack, used it once then replaced it with an old Camelbak reservoir. It doesn't have a hose quick release, so very difficult to get in and out of the bag for refilling or for cleaning. It's very annoying to drag your bag full of gear around just to refill a water reservoir. It's also missing a filler handle, just a plastic extension below the fill opening, so that when you are filling it and not making sure the bladder is completely vertical, the bladder folds up right against the opening and water spills out instead of going into the reservoir. The 3D molding is nice but doesn't make up for the difficulty for filling it (which you will do a lot more often).

I may order this, but I do wish there were an option for the 2L model. I know, I could just get this one and only fill it up to the 2L mark.

I like my current bladder but if I leave water in it over night it gets a plastic flavor. Can anyone comment on the flavor of the water coming out of these? I see that they are BPA and PVC free but so is my current reservoir.

We had one of these in the Gregory Drift pack we reviewed (http://engearment.com/bikes/mountain-biking/gregory-drift-10-hydration-pack-review/). The 3D design is nice and does indeed stay open while drying without having to shove anything into the bladder. The little hang hook is nice too.
On the minus side, the hose is not quick-release (which means you have to cut to install a filter). Also, while the bite valve is just fine, the toggle to turn water flow off is, in my opinion, a pain. It's small and difficult to operate with any sort of gloves on.

Does anyone know of a water filtration system that can be used for these reservoirs?
