I ordered the pen in the last drop but had to return it. Maybe it was just an off piece but I found a few quality control issues with it. - the cap wouldn't post - barrel and grip transition was a bit sharp and uncomfortable but these can be attributed to the barrel being ever so slightly off. Other than that, great customer service from MD especially though the Christmas season.

AttilaVassHello, please note that we do not allow the cap to post on 5000 year old wood barrel. It could be scratched if people during repeated post on-post off pay not attention so to avoid this and grant to every one long lasting beauty of the barrel we have modified the shape of the barrel so it can't be posted. Not a fault in the pen. Second point not so clear and I think it could belong to a personal taste so ok. Every one have his own. Regards Maurizio

Stubnibit's very misleading since in the description it is not mentioned that it doesn't post. Also the description has has 3 measurements listed capped, uncapped and posted. Maybe the description should be more accurate to avoid disappointment. Either way.. I agree about not scratching the wood. I'm just commenting on MY experience and the pen description. Not meaning to offend.

AttilaVassNo problem at all and I'm not offended. My intention was only clarify that cap posting isn't a defect but a choose. About the text you are right and I will forward this note to MD staff so next drop will have updated text hopefully. May be the dimension phrase was made with "copy and paste" from other drops of our pens ( for example the full silver pens have cap that post on barrel). A funny things is that through my years long experience I have noted that posting cap request is pretty an US thing. I mean that on contrary in Europe most part of customers do not care and not need have cap posted. We as pen company try to meet all customers need so we usually meet this request but let me say that I find myself pretty uncomfortable write with posted cap since this make pen lenght longer and through leverage effect make pen weight heavy and not so comfortable. But this is a my taste and is valid as any other. I repeat we try to meet each and every taste till when is possible. Would be interesting make a poll here and see if I'm true between Us preference of posted cap and European not posted taste and see if is only my opinion or if there is something of true. Regards from Italy! Maurizio

StubnibNot posted. It's also more elegant to place the cap while writing.
people who posts can stick to papermate!
