what's a "pumping converter"? Looks like the usual Schmidt twist to fill...

Rosebud41A pumping converter to me is a converter found in the Pilot Metropolitans, with the bladder. But you are correct, it's pictured with a standard converter so I guess is a mistype? Hope someone from MD can clarify.

Rosebud41Hello from Italy! Yes you are 100% right. These fossile wood pens came with Schmidt converters and have feeders and nibs from well know German company Schmidt. I remain at your disposal for any other question you may have! Best regards from Italy Maurizio Stura

StubnibMaurizio,
I wish to ask about the nibs from searching online and it seems like Schmidt's nibs are Bock or Jowo, if I do end up buying this beautiful pen you make I would like to know if on the long run I could possibly switch to gold nib.

IceChantHello, yes is something that I suspect too. I mean I have no proof about since Schmidt people I know never told me but I suppose as you they purchase their nibs from Bock or Jowo. From my point of view is more easy they are from Jowo, I say this from a couple of small things, first Schmidt nibs writing is some more "hard" or better Bock are smooth if compared, then Bock people have told me they do not supply Schmidt. Obviously I can't be sure but these are my feeling about. We have available solid 18 kt gold ( always from Bock) so in the chance no problem, just contact me. Best regards!
