I am so surprised at the popularity of this, given a steel nib. Infact, one can say shocking at the MSRP price of $344.99. Infact, there are very few pens at that price that do not have a gold nib.

it-manHello, I do not want reply you nothing about your personal point of view on the value of this our fountain pen since is a respectable opinion as any other but I only would show you that an half plastic made pen with a gold plated cap (no word if it is silver made or simply gold plated) have cost of 795 $ on a very famous pen shop. this pen have a solid gold nib so nowaday a Made in Germany solid gold nib cost 150$ and if you deduct this nib amount for the above pen cost you get a pen price of 645 $. I do not think that our MSRP of 350 could be named "costly". And our pen isn't made half of plastic and half of gold plated "not named" metal but is made of solid 925 silver and 5000 year old wood. See yourself:

We could also check this other pen and compare our price with this Montegrappa price and features:
http://www.paradisepen.com/shop-brands/montegrappa-pens/montegrappa-fortuna-blue-fountain-pen-medium-point-5340.html
This one have cost of 275$ only and have steel nib too so 75$ less then our one but is made of simple resin and no silver cap as our one nor rare wood.
Then I repeat every body have is own perception of the prices but I would only and huble suggest to keep an open eye on the pen values you pay for those prices. Best regards from Italy Maurizio
