What do you do when using Grip Its when you are needing to stitch near the edge of your fabric where some of this tool would need to be off of your fabric ?

SusanRThe Grip-Its work very well on the edge of the fabric to hold it flat and taut while stitching your design. It's one of the benefits of this product. I'll attach a picture to see if it helps explain it.

BarbaraGThank you for sharing this visual aid. This leaves me with 2 related questions: If this machine quilting (as in the pic) was being stitched at aprox. 2 -3" from the right side edge of that fabric causing the Grip it to be 1/2 off of the fabric and 1/2 on, does that create a problem? I was assuming that if any of the grippers were off of the fabric while using both Grip Its that would be a problem. Thanks

SusanRThe grip it's don't need to be completely on the fabric to work. I often use one grip-it in front of the needle and one to the left when I'm on the edge of the fabric, or I use the right one as a paddle to put pressure on the grips closest to the

needle. I hope this makes sense, here's a couple more pictures.

BarbaraGThe batting often extends beyond the fabric as in the photos, but you can still get very close to the edge with this method.
