I did not receive the extra keys for the cutaway cylinders that are both seen here in the pictures and mentioned in the documentation included in the package.
I realize now how ahead of myself I was getting by ordering these as my first set (my house key only has 5 pins), but they have still been fun.
I'm able to get both cutaway cylinders open with some effort, but I realize I'm still quite far from getting these other ones open. I would have liked the set to be where each key shape was the same pin pattern, so that I could learn on one set while seeing the pins, graduate to a closed cylinder, then try to open the same pattern with spooled or serrated pins. I realize this isn't exactly sold to be a learning set, but I just wanted to order a set at the same time I ordered picks, and this was the only set available here at the time.
I was also disappointed that the stand doesn't allow me to see into the pins of the practice cylinders, nor does it hold any of the cylinders straight, always at a slight angle. I wish I had forgone the stand and gotten one elsewhere.
I think I should probably look into a different slightly easier set to continue learning with, but this has still been a fun initial foray into lockpicking.
