Isn't that "high-frequency signal called blue light" literally blue light? As in the blue leds of your screen turned on?

otamaglimmerYes. Blue light is high-frequency electromagnetic radiation. Carries more energy than lower-frequency light (e.g. red). The more you know?

otamaglimmer'High frequency blue light' refers to the higher end of blue light that approaches but isn't quite UV. It appears a cold white color, and is stressful on the eyes. It is produced in large quantities particularly in early LCD's with fluorescent back lighting.
