I don't use Gunnar's, but rather an off brand I purchased for like $12 on Amazon. I sit at a computer for like 14 hours a day and I've noticed an improvement in eye strain. Definitely recommend Blue light reducing eyewear.
If you have a prescription and insurance, you may be able to get your insurance to pay out as preventative care.

mabramoHave you used any programs like flu.x or the built-in night light with Windows 10? If so, any noticeable difference between those and the glasses?

KPopOGYes, I've used flux. The glasses are an improvement over flux in that they tint your vision less and filter blue light whereas flux basically just reduces blue light output from the monitor.

mabramoGood to know! Are you using the amber or crystalline versions?

KPopOGI have amber lenses but, again, I'm not using Gunnar's. I'm using some Chinese knockoff from Amazon that probably works just as well.

mabramoWould imagine so. I don't really know. How much were those and do you think it was worth it for the price? I'm still in school, and make a couple hundred a month off freelance work.

mabramoHey again... I know this conversation is super old, but I found something so much better than GUNNAR.
They're called Spektrum, and they're really awesome. The clear version blocks 50% blue light, compared to the clear GUNNARs blocking only 10%. And, the amber version blocks 99% blue light compared to 60% on the GUNNARs. The styles look a lot nicer, and most of them are over 1/2 the price of GUNNARs. And, use code LINUS for 10%!
