"When our eyes are exposed to blue light it can cause eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, and a host of other unwanted problems."
What an unmitigated load of bullshit. Anyone noticed that the sky is blue? Wear these if you want to start feeling drowsy and lose the game you're playing.
techydudeGunnars actually do work. It is like having flux but for your glasses. I find that the lack of harsh blues at night help my eyes, and actually prevent eye strain when staring at a screen for 4hrs plus.
techydudeThe sky is blue due to rayleigh scattering. Blue-blocking glasses have existed for literally decades and have worked well, with the caveat that it obviously alters the colors you see. The blue wavelength causes the most amount of strain on our eyes at any given time, which is why glasses like this have also existed for quite a number of years as 'computer glasses'.
techydudeSo stare directly at the sky for six hours and tell me how you feel on the other end. Read some reviews if you don't believe the marketing. Save the biligerance for somewhere else.
techydude If its a bright day your eyes may actually hurt quite a lot by staring at the sky for six hours. There's a reason why people wear sunglasses; not everyone do wear sunglasses as not everyone needs them. We don't all have identical eyes. I agree with your perspective on this sounding like a marketing scam, when I first found them it sounded like a bunch of BS, Regardless, it definitely works for some people. There are cheaper alternatives too if you don't want to spend so much money on trying something you doubt will work.
