This is stupid , I bought a pair 4 years ago because I have had LASIK eye surgery and the cold and dry winter causes my eyes to dry really fast and the glasses did nothing, it even tires my eyes because of weird color distortion, I bought this for 40$ one of the worst purchase I have ever done, if you want to block blue light, you should install flux, it reduces the temperature of your monitor's color to look the same as you were looking through a gunar optics glasses and you don't have to wear the silly uncomfortable glasses. I know that when you buy this, your eyes have some problem with this dry winter season, my tips are: 1) Buy eyedrops like refresh tears, stay away from vasoconstriction eye drops like vrohto. 2) Help your eyes to get wet by using hot compresses, put some rice on a sock and microwave it, then put it on your closed eyes 3) if you have money and insurance, go to the doctor, tell them your eyes hurts like hell please help me, they will prescribe you Restasis, if you co pay you will only have to pay 30-40$ instead of 200$ MSRP for 3 months supply, this is the best eye drops for dry eyes.4) in the evening turn off the lights so that the only source of light is from your monitor or keyboard/mouse, that would make you sleep better. 5) Make sure you sleep for 8 hours a day 6) buy eyes supplement like lutein/zeaxanthin 7) If you want to block blue light on other sources which you can't install flux, like your pale looking nerdy friends, buy UVEX glasses on amazon, which is only 8 dollars and it also cover your eyes to make sure the cold breeze won't dry your eyes, the glasses was prescribed by Dr.Mercola, search google for UVEX mercola and you'll see, this work much better than the Gunar glasses

leon226On the other hand it works great for me, to the extent I'd call it life-changing. Adjusts color temperature of monitor and it does "feel" different than setting in software. Also in offices with horrible bright white fluorescent they help prevent migraines (in conjunction with hat). Doesn't make a blue t-shirt look green, like a pair of yellow glasses I got from the optometrist who lied and said they sold Gunnar Rx tint.
I did formerly think the gentle eye current buffeting microclimate thing was BS but I've noticed when wearing contacts my eyes definitely feel less dry if I wear them (usually RPG or Vayper; I also have Intercept sunglasses and Vinyl in prescription, but those are a little less curved so can't speak to them necessarily).
