Many asked about the comparison between THX 789 and H20 and if the cost difference $$$ is justifiable. I tested both with the loaners from two friends. First, these two amps have very different internal designs. Both have very nice sound with their own characteristics. H20 is a much more higher-end gear. Google and check out the internal components of H20 and AAA 789 and you will see. Manufacturers offer excellent products tend to like sharing the production information & details with their potential customers. H20 is a pure Class A with 100% honest true balanced symmetric parts in its design and THX 789 is a Class AB with patented processing, you will see they are products on two separate and very different categories of audio design patterns. Also, if you are into true balanced sound processing, H20 has various XLR input/output to provide connections for your various balanced sound gears. For those who already invested $$$ on your balanced cables and balanced audio gears, H20 is an excellent piece of equipment to pull everything together with high quality performance that will more than justify the cost of ownership.

thestarbucksgrandeHi! I like both and agree with your comments regarding 789. I would say, to my ears, H20 has more punch on the lower frequencies. This is especially significant when you listen to male vocals and/or acoustics recordings.

HorseknightJust got one, tell me please - Is the gain levels are very subtle in your unit as well? at first I thought that the switch is not doing anything, and then I've noticed a small volume change from low to high gain. Also, when increasing/decreasing the volume on the volume knob, your unit also makes a strong ticking sound?
