I've owned this for a period of time before selling it with contempt. Let me say this: sound wise this little piece of schiit isn't even worth $50. Trust me, for whatever audiophile application yer onboard soundcard would be far better.
First of all there's this severe dynamic compression present. Not that it can't get loud, quite the opposite. It gets loud and things sound very unrefined. My THX00, Klipsch X10, X20 and HD600 all sound far better on onboard audio. Right before when I was about to lose faith in these little dongles, I got a GOV2 from a friend and that unit completely changed my mind about little dongles. But this one is schiity all the same. Folks, stay away from it AFAP.
