Its 4k, but doesnt have HDR and it is not a smart tv either. Unless you had a device with 4k capabilities that connects to your tv, this product right out of the box isnt worth it. Since no cable tv companies provide 4k quality picture, you're going to need to spend another $100 or so on the 4k version of either a fire stick, roku, or apple tv (whichever product floats your boat). So dont look at this product at its listed price, because if you actually want 4k quality, you'll need to purchase an item that provides 4k content if you dont already own one. Also, no HDR. If you're in the market to buy a 4k tv, hdr options are getting cheaper. In my opinion, there are so many better options out there. You might as well just buy the 1080p option of this product if you're only using it to watch cable tv.
