I would bet this watch dial looks much better in person at 10 mm thick with 2892 this is a really nice watch looks like a blast from the past only if it were 39 mm.a good deal i think

Looks gorgeous and looks much thinner than 10mm thick because of the case shape.

Dear Drop, > The movement is safe up to 50 meters underwater. You really must stop using this sort of language in your marketing blurbage. While I don't expect more than 50m water resistance in a dress watch, it is by no means "safe". New watch purchasing customers will be mislead - it may be water resistant, but I wouldn't dive to 50m with it and expect it to remain remain dry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Resistant_mark#Water_resistance_classification

all the needless branding/marketing on the face ruin the watch. the hammy logo is all it needs, if anything

The thing I would remove is the date (or change the date wheel for a black one which my watch maker has done on a lot of my watches).

??? This dial is the definition of clean. Literally almost every single watch I have ever owned has had more text or markings on the dial.

Sure it’s a classy design, but where is the joy in a watch without a seconds hand?

The only benefit I can see is it would keep me from stressing over how accurate it is or isn’t.

It is also dressier I think. In dress watches I like no seconds or small seconds, centre seconds is just less dressy/refined.

I own the 38mm gold plated silver dial, gorgeous. I would have purchased the black but only in 38mm. This watch has no bezel and is all dial so the 38mm looks like a 40mm on the wrist ... And the 42mm looks really really big, way too big for my taste especially for a dress watch. I know that dark/black dials make watches look smaller but if that watch is 42mm and would look like a 44mm on the wrist in silver, it will look like a 42mm with a black dial. Also, if I were to buy the 38mm watch, the first thing I would do would be to take my watch to my watchmaker to change this date wheel for a black one ... Cheap to do but why on earth did Hamilton order the movement with a white date wheel? Cost cutting and flexibility I guess. Shame.

I have this watch and it is a beauty (in the eye of the beholder, of course). Perfect for dressy occasions with a nice combination of the understated sunburst dial and Bauhaus face. Mine is day/date with date at 6:00 position. I picked mine up used for a song.
