It's nice to see a Hamilton on here, one of my favorite brands, but this is not a popular model.

djdustI was thinking the same thing. I'm a fan of Hamilton watches, have a Khaki Field and the Pan-Europ. Hoping to see the Intramatic Chrono on here with the panda dial.

Looks like "old stock" to me. I can buy a better, newer Hamilton automatic chronograph for the same price at a shop half-an-hour's drive from where I live and 1. don't have to wait for delivery and 2. if there's any issue I can get instant service and money back without the hassle of postage costs and time wasted on communication.

600 euros is "not more or less $600". It's actually $672.39. The Hamilton chronographs I can find at or under that price are quartz movements. The $575 price that BigWoolly is referring to is a grey market web price, not in a brick and mortar setting with warranty. Your examples are very atypical. Grey market dealers sell "old stock" as well. But for $400 you most likely will not get this type of movement.

Tinygearhead600€ might be $679 today: currency rates are volatile and change. In 2 months time $679 might equate to 650€ - so "more or less" ... the same ... give or take. My point being: why rush into a web purchase which offers an insignificant discount and months of waiting when said product can be bought from a retailer for roughly the same price. And moreover IF there is a problem with the purchase no postage and waiting time is necessary - just walk into the store and get it sorted out hassle free.

I have mechanical watches of all price ranges and I can tell you Hamiltons are very reliable and sturdy. I've owned a Jazzmaster for 15 years. The only bang for the buck watch I think is better is Oris.

Do anyone know if the GMT hand can be adjusted directly? My old sea master GMT can only change the hand by turning the hour hand.

stocklazYes you can change it directly but when you set the time the GMT hand will turn so, if you wanted the GMT hand to remain where it was then you need to go set the GMT hands after setting the time.
