I've never purchased an artisan keycap before but this one looks really cool! Do people actually use these or is really more for collecting and display? I'm more of a user than a collector.. is this worth it for me, or will I end up wearing it down in a few months by putting it on my main board? Even with my best effort, my spacebars usually wear down on the right side if they're not made of PBT.

I would love to see another artisan maker using unusual materials like wood/carbon fiber, let's see what you got. Don't forget you have to get the stems in there and it has to be at the exact right positions and exactly right size to work :)

BlueCrownedI've actually kind of been thinking about this. I would have to initially buy a fancy keyboard (I use a solar powered Logitech for no batteries and wireless) then I'd just have to model it up in SolidWorks, make some code and run it on the CNC to get the stems. Otherwise, use the CNC to make a mold which I can then pour resin into. Either way, it's not super hard. If I wanted to go REALLY basic, I could shove it in some wax or pour in some silicone. The stems aren't really as big an issue as you'd think. We have however been extremely busy trying to get our actual product out the door to make money... so maybe in a few weeks I'll have some free time to dick around. And be paid.
