Am I missing something here? I cannot fathom any reason that someone would want this...........unless they have way more money than IQ points. I have an $8.00 Leatherman that has served me well for several years. I lost its predecessor or the longevity figure would have been close to a decade.
WhoownswhoYall (you sir) belong in a remedial English class (I'll go to Walmart), and yes, $50 ($56.00) is too much for a carabiner.
This is a case of a product producer hypnotizing the stupid to believe a product that cost $4.00 to produce should be purchased for $56.00
I have An H3 from the original Kickstarter campaign about 5 years ago. It’s been a solid and very cool carabiner. That said, it isn’t load rated, it doesn’t lock, and it isn’t as rounded as a standard ‘biner. If you’re going to get it, get it because it’s a well made very cool Ti doodad, not because you need a carabiner.
Ah, am I missing load specs for this? I assume a Ti 'biner will support a hammock, but if I'm gonna drop a C-note plus on two it'd be nice to confirm the weight savings will actually support my large carcass. Will they work for other weight sensitive pursuits like caving, or are these strictly for more pedestrian use only?
a quick release carabiner! Golly what a game changer. Up until this point I've been using permanent carabiners.
ffs all carabiners are quick-release unless they are specifically designed not to be.
It's like saying a sandwich, with bread!
nathan.coulombeEspecially when you consider that you can buy near-identical titanium carabiners for about $1.50 on DHgate. This is an incredible markup.
