Designed for city sidewalks and mountain trails, the Grunten boot by Munich-based Hanwag is your go-anywhere, do-anything boot. Featuring a hydrophobic upper made of full-grain yak leather, it has a soft padded leather cuff that provides ankle support and protection. Its double-stitched construction means it’ll last through year after year of punishment, and fewer seams reduce the risk of rubbing and blisters. Along with a shock-absorbent heel, the boot has a Vibram Guffert outsole for grip on dry, wet, and rocky terrain. For extra comfort, the clamping lace hooks provide a more evenly distributed fit.
