Thanks for your interest on this drop! Hanzo works with a variety of mills including Kurabo, Canton, Kuroki, local Indonesian mills (for their unsanforized fabrics), and White Oak Cone Mills.
The fabric for these is coming from Canton Mills, and is made of 100% Xinjing cotton, a long staple cotton that gives a touch of softness to this otherwise burly 22oz. fabric.

TomasVThanks--this is helpful. But what's this Canton Mills? The only one I've heard of is the famous US factory that closed decades ago. Just curious, since Indonesian brands like Oldblue and Esre are clear about where their fabric comes from.
I'm pleasantly surprised to hear folks who know of the old Canton Mills.
In this case, these specific Canton Mills are actually in Guanzhou a.k.a. Canton, China.
They specialize in Xinjing cotton which is a long staple cotton, much like Supima cotton (even a little bit longer and softer).
Usually hand-picked to preserve its length and texture, it makes really strong and soft fabric which becomes really handy when making something like 22oz. selvage twill fabric. It's relatively unknown to a lot of folks -- most of us know Supima, Sea Island, or Zimbabwe cotton -- though many Japanese companies highly seek out this type of cotton (from Kamakura Shirts to MUJI).
