Don't really know if I want my electronics "Aging". Seems a little more extreme than your average burn-in

MujinThe electronics don't age, just the unfinished brass housing which should form a nice patina over time. :-)

nicpopeOk, but the fact is that it says the sound will change as the brass ages, more than just a cosmetic detail. Still don't think I want something that will keep aging, not like a burn-in where you are reaching a set state, these will keep aging.

MujinYeah, I noticed the comment about the sound changes too and my BS meter lit up. I've been a long time audiophile and have heard some crazy claims, but I think this might be at the top of the list. If that is not the intended meaning, I suggest changing the wording in the drop. Otherwise knowledgeable audio geeks will run away.

LmheimThe Massdrop description seems to make that claim, but I checked the Final Audio website and their own descriptions only mention the aging/patina as a visual effect. Personally, I think is incredibly cool direction for the design and gives them some substance. As far as sound quality, I can't seem to find reviews that match the price point — seems like the consensus is very good but not great.

hackmartianMakes sense. I do think that a brass patina could look cool but not for this price that's certain
