Anyone have any hands-on experience with this pen? I'm not sure that I like the mechanism. I'm in the market for a lifetime EDC pen that fits a Pilot G2 refill and this is so close but I think I prefer a standard twist mechanism.

I have a maxmadco bolt action pen. I think it's aluminum or stainless, but it has dead smooth action. I love it as an EDC. It's a great sub. if you don't want to go for broke on a tibolt. It's going to almost double this price, but it's worth it. The only thing about metal case pens is be careful about dropping it. If the tip dents, reshaping can be a pain.

But both madmaxco bolt and Fellhoelter TiBolt won't accept Pilot G2-sized refills. They take the international standard G2, or better known as Parker style refills.

The drop sucks, I agree. But I found good luck by inserting a small drill bit (smooth end) and then using a circular motion to get rid of the obround shape. Has worked like a charm the few times I had to fix a dent.
