Received mine yesterday (ordered directly from Helm) and have tried it with both my v30 and my iPad. Sounds great on both. The long attached somewhat stiff cables makes it hard for me to easily fold up and put it and my v30 in my pocket. For me this will be a stationary solution (if I am watching a movie on my iPad or listening to music while seated, on a treadmill, etc). For iPhone and other use cases where there isn’t a 3.5mm jack, but you still use your wired headphones, you can always attach to the jack on your dongle output if you aren’t satisfied with the dongle’s sound. Is it worth it if you already have a good USBC portable DAC/Amp? Only the listener can decide. I think the sound is very clean. If you don’t have enough volume out of your device, this will push a lot of power, if you need that. The bass boost is quite bone rattling, so if you’re into that sort of thing you might want to add this to your collection. Or you could instead use some good EQ if that is an option. Do I rec it? Well, you don’t know me or what I like so answering that would be pointless. I like it so far, but it is pricey and has a narrow use case. So think first about if it will bring any utility you need or want.
